Following the success of her four week residency at The Toff in Town, Alyce Platt will be performing her new hit show all the pretty little horses around the country.

This “sophisticated chanteuse” performs her own original music along with the songs of Marianne Faithful, Ella Fitzgerald, Leonard Cohen, Jacques Brel, Velvet Underground, P.J. Harvey and Nick Cave. They blend together to create an... emotional and revealing journey... about love, loss and  frailty... A little yearning... haunting melancholy with a sensual edge... all the pretty little horses is an opportunity to experience the unique artist, that is Alyce Platt.

During her recent season of all the pretty little horses Melbourne audiences really connected with it describing it as “...a heart warming and gripping show... it soaked deliciously into me and lifted my soul...”, “...her power, presence and performance were outstanding...the crowd were mesmerised...”

Platt said, “This show is about courage… it’s about truth... and taking a risk...”

The various band members are :Claude Carranza is the lead guitarist with the Black Sorrows and also plays with Bakelite Radio. Bass player Stephen Hadley has played with Paul Kelly and The Black Sorrows and pianist Jex Saarelaht has played with Renee Geyer and Vince Jones.Russell Smith, Clavinet, Tony Floyd, drums & piano accordion

Alyce Platt's debut album, Beautiful Death.

It's a sonic adventure that creeps up on you and takes you places you least expect.

Critics say "Beautiful Death is an album that doesn't hit you on the head. It entices and then seduces - if you allow it."

Alyce worked on the album with co-producer Glenn Lewis (ex-Violetine) and cello player Kathryn McKee.

Alyce Platt has been writing songs since she was 12, but Beautiful Death is the first time she has put her name on a CD. In 1999 Alyce released the acclaimed EP, Cowboys In The Attic, under the name Bakers Daughter. Read more »
